Post subject:  New guy in South Bend
Hi all!

I'm brand new here on the forum and live in South Bend. I currently do Indiana Jones cosplay with a near screen accurate Raiders Indy outfit. After seeing all the fun the 501st was having at C2E2 in Chicago (that's me as Indy in the pic attached) this year I have decided I need to join up. I am learning all the details and absorbing it all before I order any armour. I'm planning to go to the Joliet Library Star Wars Day this coming Saturday, anyone else here going? I'm wanting to a Sandtrooper because I love ANH and love the weathered look of the armour. Also, the fact ANH and Raiders share Tunisia adds to the appeal for me. My goal is to have armour ready in time for SW Celebration in Chicago next year. I'm also interested in connecting with others here in Northern Darkness and getting advice on my armour build. Thanks in advance.

Welcom to the NDG forums. You can never go wrong being a sandy, awesome looking armor. I have no suggestion on armor however, (mainly cause I'm a scout) but there is plenty on guys up in the northern part of Indiana that would be willing to help you out.

I’m in the South Bend area almost every day.

I’ll also be at Joliet Days! Look for the guys and gals with the NDG shirts on and come introduce yourself to us!

Welcome! I'm in Elkhart. I'd love to help you with what I can.

Start investing in E6000 now.

Do yourself a favor, and go to whitearmor.net and MEPD and get on their forums. Find the armor that fits your body shape, weight and frame. Different TK kits fit different people. Don't buy a small kit if you are a bigger guy.

Also, you can never do too much research.

A fully fitted TD will cos you roughly $1200+ or more depending on the backpack, pauldron and pouch route you go.

Thanks, I just recently joined those forums, sooooo much to read. But I love researching gear so looking forward to it.
