Happy New Year, NDG!

My name's Eric, and I'm a semi-recent transplant to South Bend all the way from Smoky Mountain land down south in Tennessee. I may have met a few of you a time or two while posing as a Ghostbuster with my friend Matt Paige, who I understand may have a tie or two to this fine garrison. In fact, it was after seeing you guys cuttin' up at Porter County Monster Con back in October that I got the itch to give the 501st a try. So here I am!

Currently, I'm beginning the process of scoping a role as a Scout Trooper. Since this is all new to me, I would love the chance to chat with anyone who's taken on that role - particularly if you have any nuggets of wisdom you'd be willing to impart regarding how best to put everything together. So far, my biggest lead is on the armor and helmet kit - which I'll likely purchase from Studio Creations (thanks Matt). I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on anything just yet, though. Kinda want to get a few more expert opinions on my shopping list before I take that plunge.

Anyway, it's great to meet everyone. I look forward to getting acquainted better with all of you as I inevitably tumble deeper and deeper into this little rabbit hole of a hobby!

It is an easy and faster way to talk to the group that has scout armor, and guys like me who have the armor, but haven't joined (mainly because I procrastinated on doing the hard stuff) but still up to discussion on where to buy stuff from
