Hello!

First off I just wanted to say thank you. For being my first post it may sound kind of odd but I have be lurking on this forum and whitearmor for quite some time now. I guess you could say I am post TFA interest but have been surfing the forums longer than that. I am currently in talks with Jim about a FOTK suit and am currently on his waiting list. This will be my first kit. I am nervous but really excited about starting. I have not signed up yet with the 501st and wanted to consult everyone here first. Thank you for any insight and direction.

Hi Brett, welcome to the forum. The FOTK is a fun suit, but has some quirks. Mark and I both have them, and there are lots of others in the group who are good with trimming, bondo, and painting. So don't be afraid to get advice before doing anything on the kit.

You'll join the 501st and get an ID number once you have an approved costume; until then, the FISD and NDG forums will be your entry points and best online resources for info. Feel free to join us at a troop to either help out of just get to know the group. Armor parties are also a great opportunity to see armor builds in action and meet us.

Thanks everyone! I do have to admit though the events board is kinda confusing at first. Is there any dates on an armor party?
